ABOUT US

Prince Capital is a multi-family office focused on private markets, investing in late-stage primaries, secondaries, and direct co-investments in leading technology companies.

Bridging the gap in private markets

We connect sophisticated capital with exceptional private companies. For sellers, we provide liquidity. For buyers, we deliver access. Every transaction is built on trust, transparency, and long-term alignment.

What We Do

We curate and structure late-stage venture opportunities in both primary and secondary markets for family offices, institutional allocators, and venture funds.

We perform institutional-grade diligence on fund managers, vehicles, and transaction counterparties. Our focus is on verifying proof of shares, subscription documentation, KYC compliance, and GP backgrounds to reduce execution risk and provide clarity on emerging opportunities.

Investment Focus

Late-Stage Venture Secondaries

We source and structure positions in companies approaching liquidity events. Current focus includes OpenAI, Polymarket, Kalshi, Kraken, ByteDance, Databricks, Perplexity, and Crusoe. Prior transactions include SpaceX and xAI, completed before the June 2026 listing.

Primary Allocations & Co-Investments

We work directly with GPs and syndicates to access primary rounds in late-stage venture and growth equity. Our diligence framework emphasizes manager track record, vehicle structure, and transaction integrity.

THE FIRM

Our Story

Most people in private markets have only ever seen one side of the table. Alex J. Prince has sat at both. Merrill Lynch, investment banking and the alternatives world taught him how capital gets allocated. Building and running operating companies taught him what it costs to earn it. Prince Capital is what happens when you put those two educations in the same firm: institutional rigor, an operator's instincts, and no patience for process that doesn't serve the deal.

Our Approach

We do fewer things and do them properly. Every position starts with verified shares, clean documentation, and a seller we understand. We move quickly when the asset is right and walk away when it isn't. Our investors hear from us before they ask, and they never learn something about a deal after the fact that we knew going in.

Our Network

Prince Capital operates at the intersection of institutional-grade deal flow and family office execution speed. Our relationships span leading venture funds, secondary market specialists, and sophisticated allocators who value discretion and competence.

We source opportunities through direct GP relationships and secondary specialists who know our investment mandate and move quickly when quality assets become available. Our network extends across US markets, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Access matters, but conviction and execution matter more.

Our Values

  • Integrity over ego
  • Strategy backed by execution
  • People-first partnerships
  • Direct, honest communication

TEAM

Alex J. Prince

ALEX J. PRINCE

CEO & Founder

Over two decades in institutional asset management, investment banking, and private markets. Career built across Merrill Lynch, Highmark Capital Management and Bailard before founding Prince Capital Group.

Full bio

Track record in capital raising, institutional sales, and building distribution teams that perform. Spent the first half of his career inside the machinery that allocates institutional capital, then moved to the other side of it to build, structure, and deploy capital directly.

Strategic advisor to medical technology companies including Spectrum Sleep and Aperture Medical Technologies.

Founded Prince Capital, a multi-family office that invests without a fund clock. No forced exits, no artificial hold periods, and the patience to let good positions compound. The firm sources and structures private market transactions for its own balance sheet and for the family offices and institutional investors it works alongside. Built and operates businesses across several verticals: private equity roll-ups in home services and construction through HighTide Capital Group, AI-driven marketing and operational automation through Apexx Agency and ApexxOS, and athlete and celebrity management through Prince Creative Group. Advisor and capital partner on The Vail, a 55+ lifestyle development in the Phoenix-Scottsdale corridor.

Investment focus: late-stage venture secondaries in category-defining companies, lower-middle-market private equity roll-ups, structured credit, and real assets. Underwrites for valuation dislocation, downside protection, and capital velocity.

Knows how capital gets allocated, how it gets deployed, and what happens to it after it lands, because he has been responsible for all three.

Jesse Fowler

JESSE FOWLER

COO

Two decades of operating experience across construction, real estate development, hospitality, consumer brands, and nonprofit leadership.

Full bio

Career foundation built in construction and development, where budgets, schedules, investor expectations, and execution converge with zero margin for ambiguity. That operating discipline became the baseline for everything that followed.

Track record spans capital formation, revenue strategy, executive advisory, and organizational leadership. Has served as nonprofit president, partnered with institutional boards, raised private capital, led sales organizations, and advised founders through inflection points where judgment matters more than process.

Core orientation: data-informed decision making, first-principles reasoning, and leadership measured by stewardship and long-term compounding of outcomes.

Currently focused on high-conviction opportunities in executive leadership, advisory, and mission-aligned organizations where operating experience and capital markets fluency intersect.

Jimmy Khounlavong

JIMMY KHOUNLAVONG

CMO

Nearly two decades at Nike across billion-dollar business lines, global product portfolios, and athlete brand partnerships at the highest level of cultural visibility.

Full bio

Career built at the intersection of brand strategy, product development, and commercial execution. Operated in environments where brand equity, margin, and long-term credibility were in constant tension. Developed fluency in the decisions that determine whether brands compound or erode.

Core thesis: durable brands are built when product, storytelling, and distribution move in alignment, with creativity grounded in consumer truth and held accountable to performance.

Now advises founders, athletes, and leadership teams through Common Ground as a fractional CMO and CPO. Typically engaged when momentum has stalled, positioning has drifted, or the gap between ambition and execution requires honest diagnosis.

Focused on brand and product strategy where the objective is endurance, not attention.

INSIGHTS

MARKET
INSIGHTS

Analysis and perspective on private markets, family office strategy, and the forces shaping capital allocation.

Private Markets

The Round Is the New IPO

OpenAI said no IPO in 2026 and Anthropic slid to November. The private market did not wait: rounds now reset every four months, the front of the line is pricing the next round rather than the last one, and Stripe trades 16% over its last tender with nothing announced.

Private Markets

The Unlock Cleared

The most feared date on this year's private market calendar came and went, and the stock went up. What the SpaceX unlock green-lit: a $2 trillion October target, a round rationed 3 to 1, and a tape that pays premiums for freshness and 59% discounts for age.

Private Markets

The Anchor Is the Trade

PitchBook sized the US venture secondary market at $121.7 billion, but strip out OpenAI and Anthropic and a third of the opportunity disappears. The discount buyers negotiate over is no longer measuring value. It is measuring the age of the last round.

Private Markets

The Vacancy Arrived

SpaceX priced the largest IPO in history off the private secondary tape, not a roadshow. The vacancy this newsletter called in May has arrived, and the next tier of private names is scrambling to re-anchor.

Private Markets

The Buyer Is Rotating

For the first time in the history of the UBS Global Family Office survey, 60% of family offices plan to change their strategic asset allocation. The buyer base for private market secondaries is restructuring.

Private Markets

The Big Vacancy

The venture secondary market just crossed $112 billion in annualized value. 75% of all SPVs with carry are concentrated in five names. Those five names are about to go public. Nobody is talking about what happens next.
